Nestor Scherbey is a founding member and U.S. representative of the
Customs Collegium and President of Customs, Trade & Risk Management Services,
Ltd. His career in global trade and investment spans over twenty five years
as a licensed U.S. customs broker, pioneer in application of the U.S. Foreign
Trade Zones program to the automotive industry with VW and, extensive export
operations, international sourcing and logistics management with the consumer
products direct selling and catalog industry. Nestor possesses unique trade
facilitation skills and unusual globalization experience developed while serving
as Director, Global Trade Operations for the Amway Corporation, responsible for
launches of new markets in over 30 countries in Asia, Europe, South and Central
America and the Caribbean by conducting pre-market entry foreign import
requirements intelligence, planning and management of new export operations and,
establishment of new import operations by new subsidiaries or importing contract
manufacturers. Recently, Nestor has worked with a Hong Kong-based joint venture
specializing in manufacturing facilities and logistics development in China and
has been responsible for China WTO Accession trade development. He also has
unique experience and skills involving resolution of extraordinary offshore
problems, resolving issues and challenges involving customs valuation and
transfer pricing, non-tariff regulations and barriers, foreign trade practices,
foreign audits, investigations, as well as with offshore operational crisis and
